Today is a very exciting day at somesmart.com. In all the time of our existence, you've probably noticed the "font" that pervades the site. Well, after months of hard work, Josh has finally been able to create a version that can be used in Windows. That's right - now you can type anything you'd like in the some smart, some don't font! To download the font, click here, and for instructions on how to install a font onto your computer, click here.

Remember to turn in all your homework assignments in this font so when you get a failing grade you can just say "some smart, some don't" and everything will be o.k.

I'm sure everyone has heard by now, but this year we will be celebrating Christmas in July. That's correct, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, the 7th and final book of the Harry Potter series, will be released on July 21st, 2007. In preparation for this hallowed event, I started reading HP & the Philosopher's Stone just last night. I figure with 5 months to go, I can easily complete all 6 books just as the final one drops.

As I progress, I hope to pick up on some insights on how things will fall out in the final piece. If you don't remember some of my thoughts on how things will end, refer back to my Review of Half-Blood Prince all those months ago.

Specifically, as I read through I hope to find at least 1 Horcrux per book, and if and when I do I'll be sure to share them here. I may be giving Rowling too much credit, but I sincerely believe that she had most major plot points planned out from the very start, and I'm hoping that reading through from the beginning, focusing solely on Horcruxes and how things can end, will be wonderfully enlightening. Not that I'll complain either way - I'll take any excuse I can get if it means more Harry Potter.

So stay tuned, and share your own theories with us at ideas [at] somesmart [dot] com.

I now have less than one month until my 25th birthday. Is it possible I could be having a quarter-life crisis?

February 3rd, 2007

I know I mention it a lot, but I really love the internet. Without it, my life would never be enriched by things such as this:

Please buy a DS Lite. Please

Seriously, it's a picture of a cat (that may or may not have ears) playing Dragon Quest Monster: Joker on a DS Lite. I'm going to attempt to recreate this scenario with my own cats, so if I'm unable to make any updates over the next few weeks it's most likely due to a massive loss of blood. (My cats have claws. Sharp, painful claws.)
