Weird Subjectivity
I've heard people say, many times over, that music is subjective. I've also heard people say that some people, myself included, like weird music for the sake of weird.
I would argue instead that it is music that is objective, and the attribution of "weird" that is subjective, particularly to where such a label might place its stigmatic hand on every new generation. Perhaps the bloodline of good, normal music from centuries ago now rests in what is now the outcasts of society.
If a population were to decide that God does not exist, would He cease to be? And if a population decides that art is no longer good, does it cease to be?
